Cowen Institute’s Amanda Kruger Hill Shares Thoughts On New District Run School

Amanda Kruger Hill, the Cowen Institute’s Executive Director, was interviewed by The Tulane Hullabaloo in an October article about the Leah Chase School. The school is a non-charter school directly operated by New Orleans Public Schools, the local school district. The school is notable because the rest of the public schools in the city are independently run charter schools. Hill shared her perspective and offered context for the opening of the school, including providing history of the evolution of public schools in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
